To blog or not to blog.....

I have been contemplating starting a blog for the past year or more and have finally caved in to the world of blogging.  I'm not a writer and my life is really not that interesting so I'm curious to see how this all turns out.  A few people have suggested I start a blog for different reasons so I thought I would include all of them here.....FAITH, FAMILY, FUN & FOOD....what else is there really?

My Faith

I will dedicate an entire post to share my testimony but for now all I can say is that Jesus grabbed a hold of my heart at the age of 23.  I was your typical single young lady working full-time as a law clerk and part-time as a waitress in a sports bar.  Life was pretty good.  I was raised in a non-practicing Catholic home and by the time I finished high school, I felt there was more to life than my Catholic roots.  I pretty much rejected what little faith I had as a child.  In my 20's I determined I had life figured out and I had no need for religion or God.  God had a different plan for me and he literally turned my life upside down in the blink of an eye!  From the age of 23 until now, God has been the centre of my life!  I hope to share my journey of faith through this blog.

My Family

God blessed me with the most amazing husband and four wonderful children.  Alessia is now 13, Francesco is 12, Leanna is 8 and Paolo is 6.

We decided to homeschool our children early on for various reasons.  We certainly appreciate that homeschooling is not for everyone but it does seem to work for our family.

My husband went from owning his own business to going into full-time ministry.  Currently he is working part-time and studying to become a biblical counselor.  One day I'll blog about that journey!

Fun

We certainly have been enjoying this great summer, bike riding, swimming, picnics, etc.  My youngest, Paolo just learned how to ride his bike on two wheels!  We're so proud of him and he is so excited about this new milestone!

My kids recently attended our Church VBS and had so much fun!  The two older ones and I served as leaders and the two younger ones enjoyed the VBS.  All in all it a was an amazing week for all of us!

My kids love to pass time making their own costumes.  They are very creative!  I hope to share more of our family fun in the coming weeks and months.

Food

Throughout the years many people have asked me to write a cookbook or teach cooking classes.  I'm really not that great a cook but I was raised in an Italian home with tons of great recipes handed down so I will definitely be sharing those recipes and more on this blog.  I recently attempted to make my very own deep dish chicago-style pizza.  It was so fun and easy to make!

So that's basically a little introduction to what I will be blogging about and I pray that this will be a blessing and encouragement to many.  I think it's gonna be fun!
